This is getting really annoying. I want to see the winners. (And if I'm one)

Could see some really nice artwork in here... Congrats to all who worked hard. I'm impatient to see the winning design.

Everyone keep in mind that they do have a limited # of polygons to make these weapons, Some of the designs I've see will be very difficult for them to model and make look good, only so much can be done with texture.

This is my sword - although i'm totally new with editing programs in general so i didnt use any fancy features, just tried to draw it :/ . Let's keep this thread alive people! regardless of whether there is a competition any longer, it's pretty cool to see people's ideas.

This one's got a random glowing orb in the middle, and i can't be bothered saying stuff like "it absorbs souls of the dead" or jibberish like that, so.... it's just a glowy orb at the moment

Also, it's not very clear but the thing below the swordblade facing to the left is a skeletal/ghostly face with dull glowing eyes and rotting mouth, for effect. woooooo...

Well... I didn't win, but I did get honorable mention so that's something to be glad about. I was in the top 25!

Aww.. I didn't even make it to the list...(
(although my stuff couldn't really compare with those winners....)

I like Anthony Lopes's Hammer the BEST!

Also Lasareth made into the Honorable Mentions, Congra

Currently in the proccess of making a shield, but ill probably submit a sword, these are my two best - please state either '1' or '2' and a comment on why you have chosen this, thanks.
'1' is better in my opinion. One question, what program did you use to make these?

Did you used to play AC2 or something? The Drudges used these as weapons, and when they finally became a playable race they could be crafted too. Kinda rediculus, though, that high-level drudges had to fork over about 3500 wood and 1200 iron to make a worthwile "Burnt Board with a Nail".

Talking Go Ejm716

I saw Ejm's hammer and sword and i was inspired to create this unholy melding of a sword, hammer and axe. I call it the "Swammaxe'

I have way more artistic talent except i don't have access to photoshop and only took 30 seconds to make it

Btw what do you use to create that ? I'd really try to create one myself and i tried with bryce and 3Dstudio max but it is very complicated and not adapted for game design i think.
bryce and 3d studio are next to impossible to work with well bryce mainly for creating what u want and 3d studio isn't user friendly. u might wanna try photo shop or corel more user friendly and has some easier features. btw the sword dun't needa be 3d so that makes bryce and 3d studio more of a waste. bryce is more landscape oriented and 3d studio is a professional 3d object program and to go along with that set poser is a human modeling program lol. neways ide try corel its user friendly has many great features and works just like drawing.

The drawing looks good and so does the image edit. Let me guess the name. Purple Carrapice Axe.

ROFL!! Interesting idea, could perhaps be something a bit more some day with a bit of effort. Though I think a new name is in order
